A Little Love for the Honey Bees 🐝
Small but mighty, honey bees play an extraordinary role in the world around us. As essential pollinators, they help flowers bloom, gardens grow, and ecosystems thrive.
Our love for these tiny creatures goes back many years. In 2009, Alex Woo joined Häagen-Dazs in its efforts to raise awareness for the disappearing honey bee, creating a special Little Honey Bee design inspired by their beauty, purpose, and importance to our planet.
That commitment continued in 2015, when Alex collaborated with two-time Emmy Award-winning costume designer Lyn Paolo to create the limited-edition Little Activist Beehive charm. Crafted in platinum and accented with fancy yellow diamonds, the beehive and honey bee design celebrated the small but mighty pollinators that inspired it.
This National Honey Bee Day, we celebrate the bees once again and the reminder they carry with them: even the smallest among us can make an incredible difference.
