Cortney - Little Letter KG

In January 2008, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child! It was super exciting, especially for him as he is 29 years my senior and had never had children before. When we reached the 20 week mark, we found out we were having a little girl whom we decided to name Kylie. My husband is from Australia but came to the US to work in the auto racing industry, specifically IndyCar. We were open to everyone knowing that we were pregnant and having a girl but we wanted to keep something a secret so we decided the name would remain a surprise! This is when I decided to purchase the ‘kg’ necklace. Being as my husband’s initials are ‘kg’, many assumed I was just a smitten newlywed paying homage to my husband when indeed it was an ode to our soon-to-be-born baby! Finally, one of my husband’s drivers at the time, Danica Patrick, solved the mystery. Now, almost 4 years later, we have 3 children and one on the way! For a while I’d been thinking about getting a new Alex Woo piece to represent my whole family. After throwing ideas around, we have come up with a new design- a ‘g6′ necklace! Now I’ll have everyone guessing if I’m paying homage to Gulfstream…or pregnant with our fourth child, making us the Green family of 6!
